World Theatre Day 2022

From August 6 th to 16 th 2022 the University of Calgarys School of Creative and Performing Arts SCPA with the Canadian Institute for Theatre TechnologyInstitut canadien des technologies scénographiques CITTICTS Canadas OISTAT Centre will host WSD2022. World Poetry Day was created by the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation in Paris in 1999 at a UNESCO session. World Theatre Day seeks to raise awareness about the value and importance of theatre. World Theatre Day helps in raising the importance of the art form of Theatre as well as other forms of talents.

World Theatre Day Around The World In 2022 There Is A Day For That

World Theatre Day was established in 1961 by the International Theatre.

World theatre day 2022. This day is a celebration for those who can see the value and importance of the art form theatre and acts as a wake-up-call for governments politicians and institutions which have not yet. March 27 2021 ITI centres and international theatre community observes the World Theatre Day annually on March 27 th. It was C C Mehta from Vadodara who while attending Vienna Conference in 1960 moved a resolution at the International Theatre Institute under the aegis of Unesco to celebrate this day as World.

However the first World Theatre Day event took place the following year on 27 March 1962. It encourages those involved in theater to share the joy of the art with others. This year the day and date are Sunday21 March 2021.

Thereafter the ITI proposed in Unesco on the need to declare a day for theatre lovers and performers in 1962 and 1964. International Dance Day is a celebration of the art of dance but its also so much more than that. It also encourages governments and leaders to appreciate the value of theater and offer their support for it.
